- To raise the literacy level of New Brunswick young adults;
- To deliver pre-GED preparation training for youth working towards adult GED education training;
- To deliver high school upgrading to those preparing to re-enter mainstream school system;
- To offer career training information;
- To offer intensive social learning programs to address individual barriers to education.
- To raise self concept & self-esteem in participants.
All of the partners in this program work with youth who are required by law to attend school until the age of 18, yet many have exhausted all options within the mainstream school system. Poor attendance, conflicts with the law, inappropriate behavior, and teen pregnancy are common factors for removal from the school system.
